sticks and stones

Now that I'm officially free, I don't really know what to do except to read and pack and snap photos and read more and pack more coz the place's still untidy and read even more coz I love reading. And now I'm rambling.

I finished reading the Hunger Games trilogy yesterday, and realised that I haven't been feeling for a long long time. I was mostly numb and just trying to get past the days. And reading this was a very good experience. Most were pain, but I suddenly preferred that to feeling nothing at all.

But I still miss Gale. Though I understand. I really do. And I have nothing against Peeta, but really.
I can't believe so many died

So after dinner one night, I went shooting. For photos. And here there are, enjoy. :)

loves

There was a moth on my bedroom wall when I came out from my bath yesterday.

The writings which I painted on the wall which I thought would be nice to take.

The cookie in my hand while I was reading yesterday afternoon, with -weirdly, I know- my camera around my neck.

The stars on the ceiling of my bedroom.

They glowed while I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

quaints

A few weeks back, my family went to a friend's house for dinner. Their's was a new house, and they had these quaint little ornaments and stuff. I'd brought along Ever -that was only the third time I had used her- and I went shooting about.

My friends were there too. My dad's friend is an avid photographer -he taught me something.

I was talking with one of my friends there, and I was saying how almost everyone has a DSLR now, and some just have it for fun and just because everyone else has it. My friend agreed at once, and he suddenly said, 'Promise me that you will never be one of those people who carry a DSLR around just because everyone else does. Make sure that you carry one because you really love photography.' I was indignant that people could even think of me like that, and I replied that I was never one of those kind of people and never will be. He seemed satisfied.

This one looks like some kind of magic instrument!

And the moon was beautiful that night.

The night was spent mostly with Ever, and occasionally, talking. It was interesting. I went home, kept Ever, and slept.

flowers and the sky

Took these photos one beautiful afternoon. Who said that the sky wasn't beautiful here? And having a DSLR made everything much more clearer and easier to choose what I wanted to be in focus. One of my friends told me that people get a DSLR for its ability to shoot multiple photos at one shot. And the first thing she asked was why my zoom was at manual, and that auto zoom is much easier. I got mine for its manual zoom. And I'm loving that.

ps. Sorry that I probably seem to be shooting random things recently. My shootings lately have been mostly to test out the functions of Ever. And I am hoping that I can get a model soon. :)
